Here I will list all the cookbooks and popular websites I use for the recipes I post and/or discuss. Of course, I also reference where the recipe is from in each post, but this is so you can see the collection of sources in one place. Enjoy!
French Women Don’t Get Fat by Mireille Guiliano
And the companion website: http://frenchwomendontgetfat.com/
Tastespotting – an excellent website to browse thousands of recipes, all user-generated from blogs, etc.
Healthiest Meals on Earth: The Surprising, Unbiased Truth About What Meals to Eat and Why by Johnny Bowden, Ph.D. C.N.S.
Cooking Light Magazine – a great, not too expensive subscription delivers great healthy recipes for fresh inspiration each month!
The Kind Diet: A Simple Guide to Feeling Great, Losing Weight, and Saving the Planet by Alicia Silverstone
A gift from my mother, this cookbook is entirely vegetarian and has so many interesting veggie meals! It also details how to buy locally and seasonally to help the planet!
The America’s Test Kitchen Family Baking Book
Also a gift from my mom, this cookbook has everything from scones to triple-layer cakes. I love it because each section (i.e. pies) has a plethora of tips and do’s and don’t’s.
The Hip Chick’s Guide to Macrobiotics: A Philosophy for Achieving a Radiant Mind and a Sound Body by Jessica Porter
While I don’t follow a macrobiotic lifestyle, I do embrace many of the philosophies introduced in this book: whole grains, fresh, seasonal food, and less meat and dairy. It also has many great, simply recipes for all kinds of meals and snacks.
